The following upgrade paths are supported. The NovaBACKUP Support team can only support the two most recent major NovaBACKUP client versions, so in that case that is 21 and 20. If you do have NovaBACKUP client version prior to 20 then you will be required to upgrade to a newer version in order for the NovaBACKUP Support team to assist you. You will need to make sure that you have current NovaCare Support (that is not expired) in order to upgrade the version in that case; tp check your license for upgrade and support eligibility you can do that using the "Check Your License for Upgrade and Support Eligibility" on this support web page: .

You can upgrade from any prior NovaBACKUP client version to NovaBACKUP 21, there should be no problem with that, as long as you have current NovaCare Support on your license (and it is not the free bundled "Buffalo" edition of NovaBACKUP). You will be required to re-create your Scheduled Image Backup job(s) if upgrading from a version prior to 21.0. If upgrading from a prior NovaBACKUP client version and you want to keep all of the prior legacy device functionality, then you must follow this guide to enable "Show Legacy Devices": .
